Here is a list of our ongoing projects and areas of need.

Asheville City Parks
Carrier Park, Haw Creek Park, Riverbend Park
These projects are family friendly and includes things like park improvement, trash pick up, and light landscaping. (40 spots)

Light Landscaping
These projects will partner with community non-profits and schools and will include light landscaping. These projects are family friendly.  (80 spots)

Food for those in need
These projects include food prep, feeding the homeless or sorting food at places like Manna Foodbank. These projects are family friendly.  (40 spots)

Hands to Hearts
These projects are perfect for anybody but offered for those who are looking for a job with low physical impact. These projects are family friendly and can include baking, making blankets and other craft projects. (30 spots)

Handy Man and Woman
These projects partner Serve Asheville participants with local residents and non-profits to help do light home repair and painting. Some experience is helpful but not necessary. (40 spots) 

Hall Fletcher Elementary
This project will be in partnership with BB Barns to improve overgrown landscaping and beautify the entrance to the school. (6 spots)

Asheville Parks & Rec
These projects are family friendly and includes things like park improvement, trash pick up, and light landscaping. (35 spots)

Vance Elementary
This is an ongoing project assisting FEAST and doing improvement to the garden at Vance. (20 spots)

Read2Succeed / Pisgah View Clean Up
Read2Succeed provides reading help to children from low literacy homes throughout the Asheville City Schools. This project will focus on a deep clean of their office, some light construction work and organization to help them be more efficient in their workspace. Also, there will be trash pick up in the Pisgah View Housing area where R2S’s offices are located. (16 spots. Not suitable for young children.)

Homeward Bound - AHOPE
Volunteer at the Day Center handing out towels, toiletries for showers, checking mail & phone messages and offering kindness and hope to our neighbors experiencing homelessness. Some training required before the service day. (7 spots. Not suitable for children.)

Homeward Bound - Furniture Warehouse
Help organize the warehouse of furniture that will be used to help furnish the homes of our neighbors who are coming out of homelessness. (15 spots)
